Power Transition, integrated Microgrid as a Service (iMaaS) Platform

Scaling our platform across the Energy Sector Supply Chain

The business model developed and applied to our projects enables behind the meter Peer-to-Peer energy trading within a community. With the secure encrypted key information, we can manage this within a community. Power Transition has further expanded the platform to support beyond the meter Peer-to-Grid energy trading for both residential and commercial projects.

For the different stakeholders along the energy supply chain we build new Dapps (Decentralised Applications) to serve their specific requirements. These new Dapps simply plug into our iMaaS platform and are able to exchange data and transactions in real-time with other collaborators as they need it. The types of information exchanges include:

  • Transactions: DLT based real-time meter-data to support current settlement reconciliations and future Ofgem Electricity Settlement Reforms
  • Trading: Support trading activities for stakeholders such as Aggregators in emerging markets e.g. Flex-Markets
  • EV: Electric Vehicle Charge Networks
  • Grid Optimisation: Apply AI to reduce infrastructure costs

Our project phases have included:

  • Establishment of baseline iMaaS platform - Guard Global Centre of Excellence has created the underlying operational network on top of Hedera Hashgraph onto which internal and external Dapps can be connected
  • Internal design & development of new custom Dapps for different supply chain stakeholders
  • 3rd Party Dapp development facilities will be available by using our open API (Open Integration Bus)
